Guide to getting started in RLCraft

RLCraft ModPack is focused on pure survival, adventure and RPG. It has mods of dungueons, harpoons, positions, weapons for our wolf and us, caves, minerals, tools, etc.
You just downloaded the modpack and created a world five minutes ago. Thanks to your knowledge of Minecraft, you decide to cut a tree to get wood, normal. Not only will you find that it will take a long time to cut it, but you won't even get the wood back after the task is done!

That's when you realize that you're going to have to forget everything you know about how Minecraft works and that this little tutorial is going to be very useful.

The flint knife

The first thing you will have to do is find gravel. Gravel is usually found near water sources or under water. Break the blocks you find to make flint.

From there, you will have to take this flint and break it on a "hard" block (stone, bricks, etc.), to do this, press the right button on the upper surface of said block to break it and obtain fragments of flint. In this way, you can break the leaves of the trees until you get a stick. Finally, take a sliver of flint and combine it with a stick to get a flint knife.

Retrieval of objects on the ground

Difficulty picking up gravel, flint chips or sticks from the ground? Don't worry, it's normal. RLCraft has a mechanism where picking up objects works differently. To pick up an item from the ground, you can right-click on it or crouch to pick it up.

Crouching will pick up all nearby objects, while right-clicking will only pick up the object you are aiming at. It is quite useful, you can use this mechanism to collect objects through small holes and inaccessible objects.

Vegetable fiber and rope

Use your flint knife to destroy the grass. This will give you vegetable fiber, which you can use to create vegetable yarn. Vegetable fiber is crucial, because you can make wool with it, but more importantly, it is what you will use to create your first ax: a flint ax.

Flint ax

The flint ax will be what you will use to cut your first trees for wood. As this modpack includes the Dynamic Trees mod, it is quite easy to cut down a tree, as you only have to break the bottom block of the tree to make it fall completely. You should always be careful, because the tree will fall and crush you if you get under it while it is falling. Trees usually fall on the opposite side from which you cut them. If you sneak away while doing it, he will fall on your side.

Obtaining wooden boards

As you will quickly realize, placing logs on your crafting grate will not result in four planks of wood (except for spruce wood). Instead, you will have to place that log on the ground and then right-click on its upper surface with your ax (or hatchet) to extract wooden planks from it.

Doing the same with wooden boards you get sticks. Once you start playing, you can make a saw, which will give you four boards, eight clubs, or two clubs, which is much more efficient than using an ax.

Get better tools

Once you've got enough wooden planks, you'll want to make a wooden pick so that you can mine for stone. However, you will find that mining stone does not produce cobblestones, you end up with an inventory full of stones. To get stone blocks, simply put four pebbles on the crafting grid.

You will get five types of stones: rocks, andesite rocks, granite rocks, diorite rocks, and sandstone rocks. All of them except the last one will give their own stone type when crafted, but each stone type can be used anywhere you would normally need to use stone in a crafting recipe, such as stone tools.

Make a bed

To save your spawn place, you must create a bed. You just have to gather a few more wooden planks and make some yarn out of the rope from the plants to be ready. Be careful though, because clicking to sleep gives you a chance to spawn an enemy.
